WHAT OUR CLIENTS SAY

CONDITIONS
Collagen and elastin levels in our skin tend to decline as we age, resulting in volume loss in important regions of the face such as the cheekbones, under-eye area, and cheeks.
Sagging eyebrows are a frequent problem that affects a lot of clients. The muscle that holds the eyelids and eyebrows in their proper position, become strained or fatigued and this causes the brows and eyelids to slide down.
The skin around the eyes are thin and has fewer oil glands, making them more prone to dryness and the formation of wrinkles. Also known as ‘crow’s feet’, these are usually the first showing signs of aging.
Forehead wrinkles are one of the many signs of aging that often appear as you enter your 30’s, 40’s and 50’s. In a similar manner to other wrinkles, they are the result of various factors, including sun damage, genetics and loss of collagen and elasticity that occur with age
Smoking exposes the skin to toxins and break down existing collagen. This leads to the loss of the skin’s elasticity and consequent fine lines, wrinkles and sagging. Smoker’s lines are generally around the lips and eye area.
The main reason one would get wrinkles, is due to these proteins breaking down or production of these proteins slowing down, resulting in visible fine lines in the décolleté region.
Melasma causes the formation of irregular, dark pigmentation patches to areas that are generally over-exposed to sun. They can occur in anyone and sometimes appear during pregnancy or when woman use contraceptives. The most prominent areas usually include the cheeks, forehead, upper lip and nose.
Uneven skin pigmentation is caused by an overproduction of melanin. Sometimes our skin have dark and discoloured spots due to over-exposure to UV rays. Spots can also be a result of post-inflammation conditions caused by acne.
These darker patches or spots of skin is caused by excessive sun exposure and is one of the most common forms of hyperpigmentation. Their propensity and appearance generally increases with age due to years of sun exposure.
Acne can be a distressing and embarrassing skin condition for teens, young adults, and few middle aged people. Hormones stimulate the production of oil in the skin and sometimes this can be excessive and result in breakouts or acne.
Scars are a natural part of a healthy, natural, healing body and can have a variety of causes including injury and acne. Scarring will depend on the severity of the injury and with a variety of treatments it’s best to get treatment at an early stage.
Dry skin, although not a permanent condition, is usually something that occurs during change of season or exposure to environmental damage. To some people it may be a lifelong condition.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Your skin will be slightly red immediately after your treatment and most patients have minimal to no side effects. Sun should be avoided at all costs and a medical foundation can be applied to mask the redness.
The therapist will remove any make-up and clean your skin with specialised products. Men should be clean shaven if they would like treatment on the entire face.
It usually takes one to three weeks for results to be visible. During this time the dark spots will turn flaky and fall off while the redness and broken capillaries diffuse.
Patients usually require 4-6 treatments but having follow-up sessions will continue to advance the benefits of your treatment. A qualified aesthetician will discuss how best to cover your concerns, potential supplementary treatments and the associated budget to your uniquely recommended treatment plan.
