WHAT OUR CLIENTS SAY

CONDITIONS
Acne is largely a hormonal condition that’s driven by androgen hormones, which typically become active during the teenage and young adult years. Sensitivity to these hormones combined with surface bacteria on the skin and fatty acids within sebaceous glands can result in acne.
Uneven skin pigmentation (also known as hyperpigmentation) is very common. It is caused by an overproduction of melanin, which is responsible to giving colour to areas of the body such as the skin, eyes and hair.
Enlarged pores are those which appear dilated and are clearly visible to the eye. Enlarged pores are very common and affect both men and women of all ages.
Ages spots are small, flat dark patches on the skin. Age spots are a result of the body producing excess melanin. Melanin is the pigment that gives skin its colour. They come in a variety of sizes and generally occur on sun-exposed regions including the face, hands, shoulders, and arms. Sunspots, liver spots, and solar lentigines are all terms for age spots
Rosacea is a common long term skin condition that affects mainly the face area, although it is more common in women and usually affects clients with lighter skin more.
Dry skin, although not a permanent condition, is usually something that occurs during change of season or exposure to environmental damage. To some people it may be a lifelong condition.
Sensitive skin is usually a symptom of an underlying or pre-existing condition. Clients with sensitive skin are generally people who are more prone to inflammation of the skin.
Spider veins, also referred to as thread veins, are small, thin veins that can appear on the surface of the legs or face. Spider veins vary in colour and look like thin webs or branches.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
The scan will quickly and easily identify strengths and weaknesses in your skin. With the scans we can measure your skin pigmentation, pore size and any evidence of bacteria lodged in pores (porphyrins). The scans also allow us to identify UV spots, sun damage and analyse the texture and forming of wrinkles with the help of photographic data.
Prevention is better than cure and the earlier you detect and target signs of aging, the better then chances of lasting skin. We will compare the condition of your skin to your peer group and develop a targeted treatment program that is customised to your needs.
You’ll sit down with a technically trained therapist who will do a quick scan of your skin with the Visia® machine. The machine will capture the right, left and frontal facial views and the first treatment will give us a firm baseline for your treatment plan.
The Visia® also allows us to track your treatment progress over time, so you’ll objectively know whether the treatment plan is producing effective results. Before and after pictures could also be made available on a secure password protected portal.
