Dental Fillings
Technologically advanced nano-hybrid composite fillings to prevent further tooth decay, damage and potential tooth loss.
CAVITY FILLINGS
Bad oral health can sometimes lead to tiny holes or cavities appearing in our teeth. We usually notice these when we start to experience sensitivity or pain around the area and any dentist will be able to pick it up or test for sensitivity around those areas. The sooner you catch and fill those cavities, the better the chances are for your teeth to continue with its normal functioning and the less the chances are of losing it due to complete decay.
We’ll make a full assessment of the cavity in the tooth and do an overall inspection around your dental health before we start targeted treatment on the affected tooth. With the help of local anaesthesia your tooth will be numbed so that you don’t experience pain and using a drill and other specialised medical equipment, the cavity will be cleaned and properly sterilised before the filling is inserted.
The type of filling used generally depends on what the dentist think is most suited. Technology has also changed the face of fillings with inlays, onlays and overlays and at Edelweiss Dentistry we use a Nano-hybrid composite filling that is of advanced standard and quality.

WHAT OUR CLIENTS SAY
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Yes, as the untreated cavities not only cause endless pain, but it could also lead to infections and other long-lasting and detrimental dental problems.
No, everything is done in one seating, if you only have one cavity. We’ll make use of local anaesthesia to numb the area to also ensure it’s a quick and painless procedure.
We’ll first make sure the tooth and surrounding tissue are numbed to ensure you experience no pain during the procedure. Once numbed we’ll remove all the bacteria and present decay from the cavity and thoroughly disinfect it. Lastly, we’ll apply the composite material (filling) into the sterilised dental cavity and allow it to harden before polishing it smooth to blend in with the rest of the tooth.
No, once the anaesthesia wears off you’ll be able to continue life like you would normally do.
