A rejuvenating, non-invasive laser treatment to address visible pigmentation, sun damage and aging skin conditions.
This world-class rejuvenating laser technology uses IPL (Intense Pulse Light) to effectively address sun damage, pigmentation and redness in the skin. The practitioner will adjust the machine to use three different wavelengths for the effective treatment of the patient’s individual skin conditions.
Limelight can be used on the face, neck, décolleté, hands or any part of the body where discolouration or uneven skin tone occurs and is a world-class solution for conditions like brown spots (Solar Lentiginous), broken capillaries (Telangiectasia) and Rosacea.
WHAT OUR CLIENTS SAY
Melasma causes the formation of irregular, dark pigmentation patches to areas that are generally over-exposed to sun. They can occur in anyone and sometimes appear during pregnancy or when woman use contraceptives. The most prominent areas usually include the cheeks, forehead, upper lip and nose.
Uneven skin pigmentation is caused by an overproduction of melanin. Sometimes our skin have dark and discoloured spots due to over-exposure to UV rays. Spots can also be a result of post-inflammation conditions caused by acne.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Limelight is a little sensitive, and you’ll feel a pinching or slight stinging sensation the moment the light pulse is delivered to the treated area. The treatment is safe, and patients have minimal to no side effects.
It usually takes one to three weeks for results to be visible. During this time the dark spots will turn flaky and fall off while the redness and broken capillaries diffuse.
1-3 treatments are generally enough, except in cases of extreme pigmentation.
For best results and to reduce the risk of skin injury, patients should avoid sun exposure to the treated area in the three weeks leading up to treatment. This treatment can only be done on Fitzpatrick 1-3 skin. Don’t do this procedure right before a big event. Allow your skin at least three weeks to completely heal.
The skin might be a little swollen and red immediately after your treatment. The dark spots might appear darker, and it could take a few hours or a day for this to subside.
Medical foundation can be used to reduce the appearance of redness and it’s critical to use a good sunscreen to minimize sun damage to the more vulnerable, healing skin in the following days. Keep the area hydrated and don’t pick the area. We generally recommend that patients stay out of the sun for 10-14days post procedure.
