WHAT OUR CLIENTS SAY

CONDITIONS
Regrowing hair can sometimes curl back and grow sideways under the skin, causing a bump, inflammation and potential infection of the hair follicle. This is generally caused by anything that causes the hair to break-off (like shaving) and often ingrown hairs could also cause rashes and itchy skin.
Hair grows thicker, appears darker and starts to grow in some strange places as we age. They sometimes start to appear on the top lip, cheeks, neck and chin, places where hair is unwanted.Â
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
The pain is minimal in comparison to other procedures like waxing. Your personal pain tolerance will determine whether you find it painful, but most patients will compare the feeling to being snapped by a rubber band.
Unlike other hair removal techniques, laser hair removal works in a targeted way to directly target and kill the hair follicle. It will not influence your tan and is suited for people with all skin types.
This depends on your own personal hair growth. Men usually have thicker and faster growing bodily hair, but we recommend a treatment every six weeks and a total of 8 – 12treatments, dependant on the size of the treated area and the amount of hair.
For the most optimal effects the hair follicle should be intact. Therefore, any plucking, bleaching or waxing of the hair should be avoided in the 6 weeks leading up to your treatment.
Most clients see permanent hair reduction after 8-12 sessions and needs a maintenance session once a year. Hormones can however stimulate hair growth again that’s why it’s important to have a consultation before starting your course of treatments.
Hot water should be avoided for 6 hours to limit skin irritation while we recommend you stop exfoliation for 1day.
It’s suited for all skin types, but we’ll give you a free consultation where an experienced aesthetic therapist will assess your skin and hair, do a patch test and put together a customised package to address your individual needs and budget.
Hormones stimulate hair growth we don’t advise doing laser hair removal if you suffer from hormone imbalance conditions like Polycystic ovaries.
