Each patient journey is completely tailor-made to each client. The below is a brief of the treatments I had, however, the aesthetic therapists at SCINMed will tailor-make your journey with homecare products and in-salon treatments relevant to each client’s needs. They warned me upfront it was not going to happen overnight; I needed to trust them and do my best to do exactly what they recommended. I put my full trust in the aesthetic therapists and bought the products they recommended me and did whatever treatment they recommended on the day according to my skin that day. They never over-promised results, were honest and realistic during the entire journey. I never felt they tried to oversell products, often I questioned, “Is this really all I need to be using?”
I was on very good product brands and I was religious with my homecare routine however I learned that I was using the incorrect products and doing the incorrect in-salon treatments.
Month 1 to 6 – skin analysis. Put on a basic barrier repair home care routine and had to return after 2 weeks. 2 weeks later started with a combination of hydration facials and very gentle superficial peels. Once the barrier was repaired and my skin was less “angry” the therapists started included more into my home care routine and started doing stronger peels.
Month 6 to 12 – started including Dermapen as well as a combination of gentler peels and stronger peels. Homecare routine also changed depending on what treatments I had done and if I needed to be doing an “active” homecare routine or a “barrier repair” homecare routine. This was always explained clearly when and how I needed to use each set of homecare routine products.
Month 12 to 18: To lead to the results my in-salon routine changed again as well as my homecare. The homecare products were more aligned to treating scarring and maintaining hydration. In-salon treatment focus moved across to more resurfacing treatments included with Dermapen.
My acne journey with SCINMed has been one I will be forever thankful for. The aesthetic therapists are so knowledgeable, they ensured I was always informed with what they were doing but also why. I learned a huge amount during this process.

Life changing seems dramatic however it really was, due to my acne I was incredibly insecure and often avoided social gatherings as I was embarrassed and insecure and the more I tried to cover it with makeup the worse it would get.
